Park Hana or Amaranthine is a professional artist with her own style of painting, sculpting, and some contemporary installation art. She is devoted to her artwork, that made her masterpieces always being sold and asked by art gallery curators to show her art off. She was awarded the MacArthur Award in 2013 and the Fukuoka Asian Culture Prize in 2018. In Gangnam City, her father’s hometown, she’d like to start her own artist-owned gallery.

Unbeknownst to the baby, she was born in someone else’s land, far from her parents’ hometown. Park Hana lives her life as the daughter of the South Korean Ambassador to Portugal.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hana could unreservedly mesmerize Ambassade de Corée du Sud en France into a painting with her eyes closed as her father spends his time there the most and of course, it was some kind of hyperbole as she employs exaggeration in her day-to-day. But it wasn’t a part of hyperbole that she was hurt: deeply, as she grew. By her parents, by her friends, she felt like the world was just a scheme. She was bullied by her high school friends due to her ethnicity as an Asian and special treatment she got by everyone because of her father’s position.
𝐴𝑀𝐴𝑅𝐴𝑁𝑇𝐻𝐼𝑁𝐸.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Unlike her brother who got the intelligence in science, Hana’s artistic talent was evident at an early age. She learned oil painting and 𝘦𝘯 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘪𝘳 (outdoors) painting, which later became a hallmark of her style. She attended l'École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts, the famed institution that has taught Europe’s greatest artists, including Claude Monet and Pierre Bonnard.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In her late 20s, Hana started to get frustated as she tried to get her paintings into art exhibits, it was always rejected. Depressed, she found her muse in a hallucinogenic drugs. It is well known that artists and musicians are among the niche professions within which open drug use, abuse, or addiction. Her work started to show color: mystical symbology that connects creativity and psychedelics, through her recreational or spiritual hallucinogens. She was called art genius, her oeuvre is startling, capturing the kind of visual spontaneity and rejection of hierarchy that makes the work of Post-impressionism so appealing.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ She combined the mind of Pablo Picasso’s Surrealism and Post-impressionism and Claude Monet’s Impressionism, and that was rising of Amaranthine, Hana’s pseudonym. Working under a pseudonym is a big decision for an artist, and one that shouldn't be made lightly, take cognizance Caravaggio, Donatello, El Greco. And the drugs, at the same time, led her to schizophrenia, like extreme agitation, delusions, and auditory hallucination on her bad trip. She is mentally unstable.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There was one person who she thought cherished her artwork more than anyone, the collector that repeat purchasing her masterpiece, Kevin Stewart, that made her requited him regularly through letters and e-mails.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Up till the wheel of fortune show its thing to the two of them in the US, 2016, where a art auction was held and Hana’s paintings were presented to be sold, and Kevin Stewart was one of the bidders, which there was also their first real encounter. Was not only that, the adoration turned to be something more genuine in months and lead their relationships. Kevin is her 𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘥'𝘦̂𝘵𝘳𝘦, what kept her sane and one of the reason she tried to stop drugs. The couple married on 15 July 2018, the day when the Moon meets the Venus.
